Say thank you to our volunteers
Each and every day, volunteers throughout the Hinkler electorate help keep sporting clubs, community groups and organisations up and running.
Federal Member for Hinkler Keith Pitt wants to recognise the hard work and dedication of local volunteers during National Volunteers Week.
“Around 6 million Australians generously volunteer their time nationwide and the volunteers in Hinkler make a real difference in our community,” Mr Pitt said.
National Volunteers Week is from May 21-27 and this yearâs theme is Give a little. Change a lot.
“Whether you help out at your childâs school tuckshop, or youâre a coach at a local sports club, or a delivery driver for Meals on Wheels, or a committee member, all of our volunteers should be recognised for the time they give to help the community, without expecting anything in return.
“Iâve seen the benefits of volunteering first-hand, through my own involvement in Surf Life Saving and the Rural Fire Brigade, and offer my sincere thanks to the volunteers in Hinkler.
If you’d like to recognise any individuals who volunteer with your organisation, please email the Hinkler electorate office at keith.pitt.mp@aph.gov.au with their name, position and organisation name.
A certificate of appreciation will be sent to all volunteers who are nominated.
