Central source for up-to-date coronavirus information
Federal Member for Hinkler Keith Pitt is urging anyone looking for information or advice about the support measures in response to the coronavirus to visit www.australia.gov.au.
“This centralised source of information is updated regularly to provide the latest news and advice from the Australian Government and its agencies.
“As everyone can appreciate this is an evolving situation and the best place to get information is from an accurate source.
“At australia.gov.au you will find information and fact sheets about health and prevention measures, what support available for businesses and employees, support for the community, information for travellers and links to state government information.
“I want to reiterate the importance of social distancing and people really need to take on board these key messages: Stay 1.5 metres away from others, wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, avoid touching your face and if you are sick, you need to stay at home.
“If you do need to go out to get essentials, please support local businesses where possible.
“If everyone works together and follows this advice we will get through this and come out the other side.”
