New facility for Bubs and Kids program
A new meeting place for socialising and connecting with the community has won a grant under round 2 of the Building Better Regions Fund â Infrastructure Projects Stream.
Federal Member for Hinkler Keith Pitt today announced Coral Coast Community Care Inc will receive $68,913 to construct a new permanent building for its Bubs and Kids program.
âThe new building will house free baby and childrenâs clothing, furniture, nursery goods and other goods.
âThe project will also provide a meeting place in Bargara for socially and financially disadvantaged families, as well as volunteering opportunities,â Mr Pitt said.
âI congratulate Coral Coast Community Care Inc for the important work that they do in the region and look forward to seeing the social benefits this project will bring.â
Minister for Regional Development, Territories and Local Government John McVeigh said the project will deliver significant economic and social benefits to the community.
âUnder round two of the Building Better Regions Fund â Infrastructure Projects stream, the Coalition Government is investing well over $200 million in 136 projects with a total leveraged project value of $459 million,â Dr McVeigh said.
âThis means, in each successful community much anticipated local projects are receiving the funds needed to take a big idea and make it a reality.
âThe Coalition has a plan for regional Australia and we are focused on getting it done. Itâs a plan to create more jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communitiesâ.
âA further $200 million was announced in the 2018-19 Budget for a third round of the Building Better Regions Fund – a clear indication of the Coalition Governmentâs commitment to create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities into the future.â
