Grants open for volunteer organisations in Hinkler

Monday, 6 August 2018

Applications for the Volunteer Grants round are open now, with grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 on offer.

Federal Member for Hinkler Keith Pitt has called on community organisations to apply for a share of up to $20million in funding to support the efforts of their volunteers.

“These grants help community organisations buy equipment such as laptops, pay fuel costs, train volunteers and improve their fundraising,” he said.

“Volunteers are a vital part of our community and by continuing to help each other and work together we are building a stronger region.

“Forty-seven local organisations in Hinkler were successful under the previous round and shared $177,480 of Federal funding,” he said.

“I encourage all not-for-profit organisations in Hinkler to apply for the Volunteer Grants to help make the work of our volunteers easier, safer and more enjoyable.”
