Thursday, 4 August 2016

Federal Member for Hinkler Keith Pitt has announced Government funding for essential advocacy and welfare services for veterans, serving members and their families, war widows and widowers in the electorate.

Mr Pitt said funding of $128,008.61 through the Building Excellence in Support and Training (BEST) grants program would be used by local ex-service organisations to continue providing vital help and advice to the veteran community.

“Our local ex-service organisations are making a real difference in the lives of veterans and ADF personnel by providing essential services from a trusted source,” Mr Pitt said.

“This money will help fund salaries for trained advocates and pension staff, essential office supplies, computer equipment, internet access and other administrative needs.
