Expressions of interest open for Armistice Day Centenary Grants
Federal Member for Hinkler Keith Pitt is encouraging the local community to apply for funding under the Armistice Centenary Grants Program.
The grants program will open in November this year and supports projects or activities that commemorate the end of the First World War.
Mr Pitt said up to $50,000 in total is available to organisations such as ex-service organisation, not-for-profit community organisations, schools or other educational institutions, museum or cultural institution, and historical associations, located in Hinkler.
âEvery electorate across Australia will receive up to $50,000 for local projects that appropriately commemorate the end of the war 100 years ago,â Mr Pitt said.
âOne-off grants of between $3,000 and $50,000 are available and I encourage all those in Hinkler who want to contribute to a significant period in our nationâs history to submit an expression of interest to my office.
“An independent advisory committee will assist me in reviewing all proposals before an application is submitted to the Department of Veteransâ Affairs,â Mr Pitt said.
