Anti-bullying resources available for local schools

Monday, 4 February 2019

Federal Member for Hinkler Keith Pitt is urging local schools to sign up to the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence on Friday 15 March 2019.

“I know many schools in the Hinkler electorate already take part in this national day of action, and I commend them on taking a strong stance against bullying and violence.

“Bullying and violence has no place in our schools, online or in the wider community.

“Schools can register now to receive new anti-bullying materials and teaching resources,” Mr Pitt said.

“Parents want to know that students, teachers and school leaders in Hinkler have the best tools to deal with bullying and cyberbullying.

“The Coalition Government is focused on keeping our kids safe, which means providing support and resources to combat bullies as well as educating everyone about the impact of bullying.

“I want to see more schools across Australia, including in Hinkler, taking a stand against bullying, and we have already surpassed the two million students who took part in last year’s event.

“My message to local students is get your teachers and principals fired up about taking action against bullying and register to become a National Day of Action school.”
